I have this ice shaver and haven’t had any problems with it at all. My only ‘issue’ with it is you have to use the special shaped ice (it comes with 2 ice molds). You’re not supposed to use regular ice with it–I haven’t tried either. So if you don’t have the special ice frozen you can’t (aren’t supposed) to use it.
But if you plan ahead you can easily make lots of shaved ice. I had a playdate at my house for about 10 kids and was able to give each kid about 1/2 cup of shaved ice using 3 of the ice molds.
