Until very recently if you wanted to purchase a cotton candy machine you had a choice of buying a $40 to $50 model that made very small amounts of cotton candy, or else a large commercial size machine starting at $500 (and the $500 models do not include the cart). Nostalgia has now come out with this great commercial grade machine that is priced just right and includes the cart, machine, and dome. I recently purchased one for my brother's children and they are thrilled. My brother said that it was easy to assemble, the machine looks great, and it makes large amounts of cotton candy very quickly. This is exactly what we have been looking for!

Having had a passion for cotton candy since I think birth, I was goofing around one day and came across this machine, and bought it. It was super easy to put together, good thing cuz the instruction sheet is a rough picture (just use the hex head screws on the bottom, the round heads for the trays, put a washer on everything. Long bolts for wheels, short bolts on front legs 3 screws hold the dome on.). No tools required, they give you everything. Perfect, no parts left over... always a good thing! I plugged the thing in and turned it on empty and everything spun centered. I then poured in the sugar they give me, and turned it back on. Within 2-3 seconds here came the cotton candy and within 20 seconds my wife was gobbling hers down. The machine also came with cones and 2 flavors of sugar so your all set to play right away. Cleanup is super easy too! The bowl is coated so the sugar line falls right off and wipes right out, that's all there is to it, other than run all the sugar out of the spinner.
This machine will be allot of fun for many years! It came with an extra set of brushes for the motor, and another set of fuses too. I missed Halloween this year but next year I will start a new tradition for the kids. One down thing is making cotton candy smokes up the house a little, but it's happy sweet smoke, and although you can see it, it smells nice in here.

This freezer pail is an exceptional option for your Lello or Whytner ice cream maker. It allows you to make another portion or flavor of ice cream immediately after the first one is done! Highly recommended if you and your family and friends enjoy frozen delights like custard, ice cream, sorbets, chilled juice blends and so forth!

I really like that this bucket is really machined so exactly to match the sleeve it fits into. I wish there was a way, after the ice cream is made, to take the bucket out but it's always frozen to the sleeve with condensation. I'm not sure there's a fix for that, however, since it's the laws of physics that accounts for the freezing.

What is there to say, really? It's a spare bucket. Obviously only of value if you have the appropriate Lello ice cream maker.

So, is it useful to have a spare bucket? Sort of. Mine does not just collect dust. If I want to make a couple of batches of ice cream relatively quickly, I can do so without washing the bucket between batches. I find it a little more convenient to wash two buckets at one time than to wash one bucket twice. But it's not hard to wash, so it's not like that's a really big deal. And you have to store the spare somewhere, since only one bucket fits into the machine at a time.

Mainly I only bought the spare so that if anything bad ever happens to one of my buckets (or I lose it), I don't have to wait around to get a replacement. All in all, this is not a necessary or especially useful accessory for your ice cream maker, but it is exactly what it is supposed to be. So I give it five stars.

When I ordered this item, it never stated that it worked with a mixer. Well I do not have the mixer that goes with this ice cream maker. It did not come this all items that it stated it came with. I think it would work fine if you had the mixer that worked with it. I also think the item has been used before.
Thank you
Michael A. Velto

This ice cream maker works just fine. I was a bit hesitant to buy it because of the other reviews, but now I'm glad I did. I've put in two cups of whole milk cherry vanilla jogurt with a little bit of cream and in 15-20 minutes I had a nice batch of frozen yogurt. Just make sure to chill it really well. I rate it 4 stars because of the high price.

This is a great machine for in-home use. I had a pool party and made so many snow cones, I thought my fingers were going to freeze off!!
I haven't had any problems with this machine at all. I really like the fact that you can use regular ice cubes for shaving. Just buy a large bag of ice from the market, fill the ice shute, turn the machine on, and get to it!!
With all of the different flavors on the market (try Hawaiianshavedice.com) you will have many tasty treats.
Be Blessed!!

This machine worked great! I used it about five times and was very impressed. My kids loved it. But after the fifth time it broke.
